Thailand’s art scene continues to grow, and one of the newest faces to watch for is Anna Chekh, a contemporary multimedia artist from Ukraine who left behind a promising career in advertising to become a full-time artist based in Hua Hin.

When I meet with Ukrainian-born artist Anna Chekh at Chim Chim, the Siam@Siam Design Hotel’s art-focused lobby-level restaurant, she’s wearing black jeans, a black crop top, and a colorful mangosteen-patterned blouse top, which I immediately recognize from the recently released Jim Thompson x Goh-M collection. Leptospirosis, commonly known as rat fever, is spreading, with 2,700 reported cases and 31 deaths, particularly in the northeastern and southern regions, a stage agency said on Sunday.
The disease is transmitted from animals to humans, especially in wet or flooded areas. The leptospira bacteria, which causes the disease, are found in the urine of rats and other rodents. Pets like dogs, cats, cows, sheep, and goats can also carry the bacteria. Continued …

Former ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Denmark H.E. Vichit Chitvimarn was on Saturday found murdered in a villa he had owned for a while but just recently moved into on Viphavadee Road in Bangkok.

Hua Hin now has once-daily bus service to Pattaya, leaving Hua Hin at 9am and departing from Pattaya at 8am. Tickets are 473 THB.
