Woman in Hua Hin Arrested for Allegedly Organizing Fake Weddings

Thai cyber police have apprehended a woman believed to be at the center of an elaborate wedding scam in Hua Hin. Wimonrat, the alleged mastermind behind this matrimonial fraud, has left many couples high and dry after pocketing substantial deposits for venue and wedding preparations that never materialized.

Wimonrat, a 37-year-old resident of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, was a wanted individual with no less than three different arrest warrants issued against her. These date back to early 2021 from courts across Thailand, including Samut Prakan Provincial Court, Chon Buri District Court, and Thon Buri Criminal Court.
