Human-elephant relationship is a win-win

It has been many decades since Wanna Kerdzab’s family started using an area of over nearly five hectares, located near the edge of Kui Buri National Park to the east, as a source of food and land for farming.

IEAT working on feasibility study for Land Bridge Industrial Estate project

The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT)’s feasibility study on the land bridge industrial estate project should be completed by the end of this year, probably within 6-8 months, the authority’s Gov. The Cabinet has approved a draft royal decree that sets the tax on profit from investment tokens at a flat rate of 15% instead of adding it to annual personal income.

Speaking to reporters after the weekly Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Revenue Department Director-general Kulaya Tantitemit said the lawmakers approved her department’s proposal to collect a flat 15% withholding tax for the sale of investment tokens and exempt the profits from being added to personal yearly income.
