These errors can unintentionally endanger your work status.

A slight alteration to your personal information can potentially place you in legal difficulty if it is not communicated accurately to the Employment Service. Furthermore, not returning your work permit within seven days after your job resignation can have serious implications. Continued …

Thailand health insurance solutions for long-term visitors

Health insurance is vital for long-term visitors in Thailand, since foreigners typically do not qualify for Thailand’s public health insurance schemes available to locals. Expats and digital nomads should secure private health insurance for access to private healthcare facilities.

For long-term visitors, especially those who do not speak Thai, access to the country’s private healthcare sector is more than just a quality issue. In addition to providing better services and being more well-equipped, private facilities are more likely to have English-speaking staff to cater specifically for tourist’s and expats’ needs. In May, authorities in southern Thailand arrested six people for illegally transporting 48 lemurs and more than 1,200 critically endangered tortoises, all of which had reportedly been obtained from the wild in Madagascar.
