Murder investigation launched after suspicious death in Cha Am

A murder investigation has been launched in Cha Am, Phetchaburi, after the sudden and suspicious death of a 69-year-old woman. Initially thought to have died from underlying health conditions, new evidence suggests foul play.

Heavy rain and flash floods expected as storm Trami intensifies

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) issued a warning about the intensifying tropical storm Trami, which is expected to bring heavy rainfall to lower northern, central, eastern, and upper southern regions, including Bangkok and its vicinity. Residents are advised to be cautious of flash floods and forest runoffs.

The southern region (east coast) will experience thunderstorms in 40% of the area, with heavy rain in Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan provinces. The lowest temperatures will be between 23 and 26°C, and the highest will range from 31 to 34°C. Long-Tail Boat Sinks Near Rang Yai Island, Phuket, Tourists Rescued

A long-tail boat carrying seven tourists, both Thai and foreign, sank near Rang Yai Island in Koh Kaew subdistrict, Mueang Phuket District, yesterday. Fortunately, all passengers were safely rescued by another passing boat.

Growing up in southern Thailand, Nok Suntaranon spent most days after school helping her mother sell homemade curry pastes in the local market. Dealing with customers. Cambodia to import more clean power from Thailand in next 2 years

Cambodia plans to import over 600 megawatts (MW) of clean power from neighbo ring Laos, Vietnam and Thailand, its energy minister Keo Rottanak said, increasing its contracted import capacity by over 50%.

ASEAN’s renewables did not meet rising electricity demand last year and were entirely supplied by fossil fuels, according to an analysis by Ember. As the demand is expected to increase by 41% by 2030, coupled with falling renewable costs, solar and wind offer market opportunities due to their complementary nature.
