Today, as Hua Hin Expat News waits anxiously for the Christmas cheer and gift-giving tomorrow, we celebrate the season with our sponsors, part of the many small businesses serving the Hua Hin expat community.

We greatly appreciate their support in bringing you these daily news reports we gather from numerous sources.

For these sponsors – and from Hua Hin Expat News …

Expat News had a chance recently to catch up with Tony and his wife at the “under new management” Blue & Yellow Book Exchange. The store, located on Phetchkasem Road just before the traffic lights at the Hua Hin municipal headquarters, has been around for many years and was taken over by Tony some four months ago.

The totally reorganized Blue & Yellow offers a wide range of books in a variety of languages – at prices you can afford, and with discounts, buybacks and book exchanges you will find worthwhile. There are even children’s books, on sale now “Buy 2 get one free”. Or receive a 50% discount on exchanged books.

Check them out today – or tomorrow!

As our longest-running sponsor, Expat News has a soft spot for S.Ken’s Bistro in Kao Tao. We met Chef Ken and his wife when they first started their business alongside the scenic Kao Tao lake, and they have seen their promotions displayed daily now for more than seven years.

A finalist in Thailand’s Iron Chef competition, Ken is known for his diverse menu of Thai and Western dishes, as well as for the Thai-friendly service his staff provides. As restaurants operate on rather slim margins, Chef Ken has recognized the value of the daily exposure to thousands of Expat News subscribers he receives, keeping his restaurant top of mind for diners.

Give S.Ken’s Bistro a try – you won’t be disappointed. Or come back for another delicious meal.

The Beach at Anantasila is a beautifully positioned resort restaurant on the beach just south of the Khao Takiap rocks – a great place to watch the ocean and the beach activity as you dine. And there’s a pool to use if you want it!

Most of the Hua Hin resorts and hotels focus on incoming tourists, not Expat News‘ mostly Hua Hin resident subscribers, but food and beverage manager Hendrick at Anantasila recognized several years ago the value of promoting his restaurant to foreigners living in the Hua Hin area. This was especially true during the Covid pandemic when he used Expat News‘ free ad exchanges to change promotions at will – to address the changing food climate from dining in to food delivery and back to normal, and to promote various holiday specials.

Real estate and housing sales is a hot market in the Hua Hin area. Sivana Villas chose to start marketing in Expat News right after the Covid pandemic eased. Since then, it has seen success in reigniting its home sales.

Many in Expat News‘ audience already own local homes, but equally as many are interested in moving from rentals to ownership. They have responded favorably to the Sivana message, and the company has extended its Expat News sponsorship several times as a result.

Manora Village is our newest real estate sponsor, and is promoting both its existing housing stock, as well as land sales for a new development – Bella Vista. Expat News has seen a lot of interest in new housing developments, both from current residents, as well as people planning to move to the Hua Hin area.
